Joy focuses her practice on real estate, finance and lending, business law, estate planning and probate of estates.
Joy assists clients in a wide variety of commercial real estate matters, including all aspects of the sale, purchase and financing of properties. She handles projects of all sizes ranging from hotel, retail, and multi-use developments to the sale or mortgage of a home. Joy also represents both institutional and private lenders and borrowers in real estate and asset-based transactions.
She has extensive experience in commercial leasing, representing both landlords and tenants in diverse settings, including medical office, retail, manufacturing, and large and small business operations.
Joy also works with clients in the formation of corporations and limited liability companies, and with the transfer of business entities, including asset and stock sales, acquisitions, and mergers, from the initial stages of negotiation through the closing and post-closing details.
In keeping with her focus on property of all types, Joy assists clients in preparing wills and estate planning documents and handles probate matters.
Joy is engaged in the community through her service on non-profit boards, membership in local organizations, and volunteer work.
