A civil litigator, Kelly focuses her practice on medical malpractice defense. She represents physicians, medical practice groups and health care centers in the defense of complex medical liability claims.
During law school, Kelly served as a law clerk for a Boston law firm that focuses on professional licensure, discipline and malpractice litigation; a research assistant for Suffolk University Law School and a legal intern for the Medical Legal Partnership Boston, an organization that provides training, consultation and technical assistance for medical teams and organizations working to become proficient in basic legal rights, risks and remedies. Kelly also worked for Rhode Island Legal Services as a legal intern practicing under Rhode Island’s Rule 9 and represented clients in Family Court. Kelly finished law school with an accelerated two-year degree and she was a member of Phi Delta Phi Honor Society. She was also a published staff member of the Suffolk Journal of Health & Biomedical Law and an invitee to the McLaughlin Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition.
Before becoming a lawyer, Kelly had an extensive career. A licensed occupational therapist, she is certified by NBCOT and licensed to practice in Rhode Island. She spent nine years with the Central Falls School Department as a Clinician in the Occupational Therapy Department. Kelly was also an Adjunct Professor for the Rehabilitative Health Program at the Community College of Rhode Island and served as a Director of Developmental Services for Meeting Street, a non-profit organization for child development, education and training.

Kelly brings her passion for advocating and advising into all aspects of her life including acting as a mentee to current law school students, sitting on school improvement committees in her hometown and supporting a local non-profit, The Tomorrow Fund. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and children. As a family, they enjoy traveling, music, sports and spending time at the beach.
