BOSTON/PROVIDENCE (Oct. 18, 2017) – Angela L. Carr was recently appointed to co-chair the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association Medical Malpractice Subcommittee.
The Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association (MassDLA) is a voluntary association of trial lawyers who defend corporations, individuals and insurance companies in civil lawsuits. The purpose of the MassDLA is to improve professional standards, the administration of justice, and legal education, and to promote collegiality and civility among all members of the bar. Although the organization is based in Massachusetts, members conduct business and serve clients throughout the United States and abroad.
Carr is an experienced civil litigator actively practicing in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Her trial practice is focused on medical malpractice and professional liability defense, employment law, and business litigation, and she regularly provides risk consulting for hospitals and practice groups. Carr serves on the board of directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State, the Providence College Providence Alumni Club, and as vice president of the board of directors for the Defense Counsel of Rhode Island. She also serves on the President’s Council at Providence College. In 2015, she completed the Leadership Rhode Island (Lambda II Class) community leadership program.
Carr was named a Rhode Island Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2012–2014 and a Super Lawyer in 2015, and as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in 2017. Providence Business News selected Carr to its 2014 class of 40 Under Forty.
