BOSTON/PROVIDENCE (Aug. 16, 2013) – Three Barton Gilman attorneys were recently selected by their peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2014.
Best Lawyers is based solely on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which almost 50,000 leading attorneys cast nearly five million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas. Lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed in Best Lawyers, which has been published since 1983.
Gilman has tried and won over 50 cases in her distinguished career, including medical malpractice, personal injury, premises liability, and products liability. She also maintains a consulting practice assisting other lawyers in preparing witnesses to present most effectively at depositions and trial. Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly named Gilman a Top Woman of Law 2011, an honor given to only 36 Massachusetts attorneys in 2011. She was also recognized as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in 2011–2013.
Connor is an experienced trial and appellate attorney whose expertise includes cases involving professional liability defense, business disputes, insurance and reinsurance issues, as well as catastrophic personal injuries. Small businesses, professional groups, hospitals and insurance carriers also consult Connor on legislative and risk management matters. Mr. Connor also regularly serves as a mediator and arbitrator.
Weiner is an experienced civil litigator with a focus on product liability, insurance coverage disputes and insurer bad faith claims, medical malpractice, and employment matters. He also provides legal commentary, advice, and analysis to insurance carriers, medical professionals, and small businesses through speaking engagements and in publications with a national circulation. For example, Weiner analyzed the “hammer clause” in professional liability insurance policies, in an article that was published in the June 2012 issue of Best’s Review magazine.
