Nicholas is an experienced trial attorney focusing on domestic relations including divorce, asset divisions, alimony, child custody, child support, modifications, paternity, contempt actions and post-divorce proceedings.
Prior to joining the firm, Nicholas was an Assistant District Attorney at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, where he handled a wide range of criminal cases, including domestic violence, violent offenses, and drug and firearm charges. With more than a dozen successful jury trials, Nicholas managed a caseload of more than 200 cases and also supervised and mentored interns and junior attorneys.
While in law school, Nicholas gained valuable hands-on experience through his role as an SJC Rule 3:03 Intern at both the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office. In these positions, he participated in arraigning defendants, preparing and presenting motions, conducting bench trials, and managing dangerousness motions under c. 276 § 58A. Additionally, Nicholas worked in the Homicide Unit at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, contributing to the reopening of cold cases. He also interned at the Superior Court First Session, where he observed trials and prepared position statements for parole hearings.
