Lisa represents charter schools, charter management organizations, private schools, education advocacy organizations and other education-related organizations in connection with a wide variety of education, corporate, real estate, governance and employment matters. This includes advising clients on issues related to formation, organization and tax-exemption, charter authorization and renewal, compliance and risk management, the leasing, financing, development and acquisition of school facilities and a broad range of employment and student discipline matters. Lisa also has experience in drafting and analyzing legislation in the education sector.
In addition to her work with education clients, Lisa also counsels small and medium businesses in connection with formation and organization, real estate leasing and purchasing, business acquisitions, general contract matters, corporate governance, employment matters and other corporate transactions.
