Hilary focuses her practice on civil litigation in the areas of medical defense and professional liability defense. She represents physicians, hospitals, long term care facilities and other healthcare providers in the state courts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
As a law clerk at the Rhode Island Superior Court, Hilary researched and drafted bench decisions and memoranda on a wide variety of legal issues including dispositive civil motions, post-conviction relief, breach of contract, arbitration, attorney malpractice, foreclosure, receiverships, shareholder agreements, civil procedure, and construction disputes. She primarily assisted with the business calendar in Providence County. In addition to her clerkship experience, she has served as a program assistant and equal opportunity specialist intern for the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights in Boston, and as a legal intern on immigration and criminal defense matters.
During law school, Hilary served as a judicial intern for the Honorable William Young of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She researched, drafted and edited bench memoranda and opinions for civil cases and habeas petitions in the Districts of Massachusetts, Puerto Rico, and North Dakota.
