PROVIDENCE (Feb. 1, 2012) – The firm recently sponsored the Manton Avenue Project’s production of “Keeping the Dream Alive,” a play celebrating the words and works of Martin Luther King Jr.
The Manton Avenue Project creates original theater by teaming children from the Olneyville neighborhood of Providence with adult theater artists.
The themes of the production – which coincided with Martin Luther King Day – included the main tenets of King’s dream, such as kindness, equality, non-violence and diversity.
“We are honored to continue our support of the Manton Avenue Project,” said associate Elizabeth R. Merritt, who serves as secretary on the organization’s board of directors. “We laud its main goal, which is to use the arts to help children freely express themselves and to experience success, which are valuable early lessons to build confidence.”
