BOSTON/PROVIDENCE (Nov. 3, 2016) – Eleven Barton Gilman attorneys have been selected as 2016 New England Super Lawyers, a directory of leading attorneys who are evaluated on various measures of peer recognition and professional achievement.
John J. Barton, Francis A. Connor, III and Sheri L. Pizzi were named 2016 Rhode Island Super Lawyers, and Pamela Slater Gilman, Kevin M. Hensley, Richard E. Quinby and Edward D. Shoulkin were named 2016 Massachusetts Super Lawyers. Quinby has held this designation for twelve years, being selected for the first time in 2004. Gilman is a six-time honoree, having been first named in 2011, and Barton, Shoulkin and Connor were first named to the Super Lawyers directory in 2013. This is the second year that Pizzi has been honored.
John D. Meara, Jenna R. Pingitore and Kristen M. Whittle were honored as 2016 Rhode Island Rising Stars. Whittle is a four-time honoree (2013-2016), and this is the first time that Meara and Pingitore have been honored.
Brendan T. Malvey and Greg Vanden-Eykel were honored as 2016 Massachusetts Rising Stars. This marks the fourth time that Malvey has been honored (2013-16) and the first time for Vanden-Eykel.
The selection process for Super Lawyers includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations. Super Lawyers is published as a special section in leading city and regional magazines across the country, including the November 2016 issues of Boston Magazine and Rhode Island Monthly.
