PROVIDENCE (May 13, 2015) – Barton Gilman was recently named as one of the 2015 Best Places to Work in Rhode Island, the seventh time that the firm has been so recognized since 2008.
The competitive statewide survey conducted by the Providence Business News and the Best Companies Group identifies the best places of employment in Rhode Island. The 2015 Best Places to Work in Rhode Island list is comprised of 55 companies, all of which will be honored at a June 10 awards ceremony at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, R.I.
Companies from across Rhode Island completed the two-part survey process. The first part, worth about 25 percent of the total evaluation, assessed each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics.
The second part measured the employee experience via anonymous employee surveys. This part of the process was worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking (which will be revealed at the June 10 awards ceremony).
“Our primary responsibility is to deliver excellent service to our clients, and creating a team of motivated, talented, happy people is a critical element in delivering on that promise,” said Frank Connor, administrative partner of the firm’s Providence office. “We expect our attorneys, administrators and staff members to be fair, honest and professional in their business relationships outside the firm and in our communities, but it all starts with how we treat one another in the office every day. There is a real shared appreciation for the hard work done for our clients by everyone in the organization, no matter their tenure or title.”
