PROVIDENCE (Oct. 23, 2015) – Angela Carr recently joined fellow participants in the 2015 Leadership Rhode Island Lambda II class to celebrate their completion of a rigorous 10-month community leadership program.
Following a competitive application and selection process, Carr and her classmates participated in monthly day-long sessions related to various statewide issues, such as Rhode Island’s economy, education, government, criminal justice system, and the media. An overnight retreat and smaller group projects were also part of the curriculum.
The overarching goal of the core leadership program is to provide leaders and emerging leaders with knowledge and access to resources that will enable them to positively affect their communities. The Lambda II class was comprised of over 75 members from a diverse cross-section of entities in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
Carr, a partner in the firm’s Providence office, is an experienced civil litigator, focusing her trial practice on professional liability defense, employment law, and business litigation. She regularly provides risk consulting for hospitals and practice groups. The Providence Business News selected Ms. Carr to its 2014 class of 40 Under Forty. She was named by Super Lawyers as a Rhode Island Rising Star in 2012, 2013 and 2014, and as a Super Lawyer in 2015.
